I have a confession to make.

I am a Champagne hoarder!!!!

I have a wine fridge that holds 108 bottles, (& a wine cave in France) and yes it is stocked with Champagne only. No reds waiting their turn. No whites “for balance.” Just Champagne, minding its business, chilling exactly where it belongs.

Some people collect handbags.Some people collect art.I collect Champagne.

It’s curated. It’s intentional. And every bottle is there for a reason.

Now… let’s talk about that friend.

You know the one.

She shows up with something that is very much not Champagne, and yet somehow always ends up drinking Champagne. Every time. Without fail.

So I’ve adapted!!

I keep a small selection of other bubbles just for her. Prosecco. Cava. Something adjacent. Something… educational. Consider it a gentle introduction. A stepping stone.

Because Champagne is a journey and everyone starts somewhere.

One day, she’ll understand. One day, she’ll arrive with Champagne in hand. Until then, I’ll smile, pour thoughtfully and protect my stash accordingly.

Growth takes time.So does taste.
